On Thursday, 18 March 2021, as part of Mimarşiv Selection, we spoke with Han Tümertekin at the Swissotel under the title "The Architect Has No Luxury of Being Pessimistic".

The first year of the Covid-19 pandemic was behind us, and the world and Türkiye were struggling with economic recession. In a discussion where we looked for how to nurture the hope needed to keep practising architecture, we also touched on current questions in architecture, above all Lacaton & Vassal, winners of the 2021 Pritzker Prize, and the architects' responsibility not to build.
