Parent conference: What Is Architecture For?
Melih Şimşek, Serter Karataban, Y. Burak Dolu and Caner Bilgin discussed architectural possibilities through different materials, construction methods and production processes. Their examples ranged from modular steel buildings and alternative projects in the southern Aegean to Seddülbahir Castle and the Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant’s Central Control Building. They shared the challenges and solutions involved in turning designs into built work.
